Pointed Garden Orb Web Spider

Argiope flavipalpis

Description:

Spotted when the movement of a grasshopper caught in the web drew my attention. The spider wrapped the grasshopper and went back to complete the meal it was busy with, then went on to eat the grasshopper. The coloring of the spider in the area where it was spotted camouflaged it very well. Lucky to get photos of both top and bottom.
