Moth

Fascellina chromataria

Description:

A well disguised moth, looking like a curled leaf of the geometridae family.

Habitat:

Adjacent to a small stream. Altitude 1000m.

Notes:

I nearly missed this one. I was drawn by the unusual symmetry of the leaf, only to discover a moth. Not much else to say about this one, I spotted it, grabbed two shots, was moving around to get some different angles and it was gone - sorry!

Argy - thanks for your help. What was making things difficult was the wing layout. The top wing was swept forward, giving a sharp corner and the under wing was swept back, giving a rounded profile.

I have added to those missions thanks. Will move more over soon.

Nuwan - you superstar. Perfect match, well done :)
