Tufted Titmouse

Description:

Gray upperparts, crest and tail, white underparts and face, and rufous colored flanks. A species in the tit and chickadee family the tufted titmouse is a little larger than the chickadee, about the size of a nuthatch.

Habitat:

Gardens, shrubland, parks and deciduous and mixed woods. They are all-year residents in the area between the Great Plains, the Great Lakes, the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.

Notes:

This one is perched in a crepe myrtle tree/bush that had another kind of flower/berries growing in it during the summer time.
