Jumping Spider

Description:

Looked at first like a Jumping spider, was on the ceiling and front legs give impression of a crab.

Habitat:

Balcony, perhaps feeding on insects attracted from surrounding countryside by night light, limestone outcrop in foothills of Los Serranos mountains.

I agree with Karen. With a face like that, it's definitely a jumping spider :) The very large central eyes are a characteristic of the family.
