Description:

Black Zygaenid moth with a bright orange thorax. This moth is a wasp mimic and, as the name implies, a defoliator of grape plants and Virginia creeper (in its caterpillar form).

Habitat:

Sunlit clearing (dirt road) near thick mixed hardwood forest.
