A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
This plant doesn't have flowers or fruit. It has elliptical leaves; 25 centimeters in length, and 8 centimeters in width. It has dentate margins, with netted pinnate venation. The leaves were arranged opposite each other, and they are deeply creased. It has smooth bark and a prop-and-stilt root system.
This was found in a secondary rainforest on a sunny day. It was given partial shade by medium-size trees above it.
The plant is about 4- 5 feet tall. The trunk was only about twice as thick as the branches. Sorry I didn't get a complete photo.

This is a great photo to start! I like how clear it is and it really shows the leaf patterns. Good job on that! I hope that you have yours identified.
