Asian Comma

Polygonia c-aureum

Description:

This butterfly is mostly orange in color, with many black spots all over its wings. Its wingspan is quite small, measuring about 2 inches. The body was greenish brown and looked like it had a fuzzy texture. This butterfly had thin antennas. The wings are jagged and the edges of the wings are brownish orange.

Habitat:

I spotted this butterfly in Sapa, Vietnam at 1:47 PM. It was perched on a small plant. The climate there was cold and chilly, but it had sunshine too.
