Northern Mockingbird

Mimus polyglottos

Description:

Mockingbirds are very interesting and beautiful birds, especially in flight.

Habitat:

Down the street from my house; urban habitat

Notes:

This mockingbird flew into a tree I happened to be right next to. I was able to get really close, even though I had a zoom lens. I've noticed the mockingbirds in my neighborhood being very aggressive towards the robins and other mockingbirds and chasing them away (probably a territorial habit).
