Huntsman Spider

Isopeda (vasta group of species?)

Description:

Small for the species at about 4cm

Habitat:

In my apartment

Notes:

Quite a vulnerable little juvenile male. I am only placing about one in five spottings of this species into PN. They are prolific here. This is one set of hairy legs According to Revision of the Genus Isopeda Koch (Heteropodidae : Araneae) in Australia I. vasta is not known in the area. David Hirst identifies Isopeda vasta groups of species and this appears to be one such
