Leucocoprinus cepistipes (Sowerby) Pat.

Description:

Small mushroom ~ 30 mm tall. Cap convex with raised scales, margin serrated with one slight notch, white with small black central spot and some light brown scales, diameter ~ 30 mm. Gills white, close, free. Stem equal, white fading to light brown toward base, ~ 2 mm diameter, ~ 30 mm long; annulus under cap.

Habitat:

Suburban neighborhood on insular tropical upland plateau.

Notes:

Observed growing in leaf litter of Acacia koa.

Thanks for the suggestion thaptor. I posted this spotting on Mushroom Observer and got a few different suggestions, but the consensus is Leucocoprinus sp. I picked the one that seems most likely.

As a non-shroom expert I say: Lepiota sp.
