Orgyia australis
A 3cm wingspan, this male has a beautiful cream and brown pattern on the forewings and fluffy legs. The caterpilllar is a typical tussock moth with tussocks of hair that can cause an irritation to the skin. Interestingly, the female of this moth is wingless and looks like a small hairy sausage.
Found throughout most of Australia except Tasmania.
