Description:

In winter after Spotless Starlings have grown new feathers many of them are tipped with a pale grey spot, smaller than the Starlings white spots, which helps to differentiate them. Also the belly and wing colour are a more uniform shade on the Spotless while the Starling has browner wings.The spots on the Spotless soon wear off.

Habitat:

Garden on limestone outcrop in foothills of los Serranos mountains.
