Carthusian Pink

Dianthus carthusianorum

Description:

Carthusian Pink is a hardy herbaceous perennial plant, some 40 cm tall; with pink flowers (2cm in diameter) produced in a tightly packed flowerhead.

Habitat:

Native to Europe, Carthusian pink thrives on grasslands in mountainous regions. Here, on pastures on a hilly lowlands around lake Geneva (lac Leman) in between two mountain ranges, Jura and Alps.
