Small Mocis Moth

Mocis latipes (Guenée, 1852).

Description:

The wingspam is 33-43 mm. (1.3 - 1.7 in ) The forewings are yellowish brown variably shaded with darker brown. The hidewings are yellowish brown with dark brown shading and two faint lines. The larvae feed on various grasses (inf. extraited wikipedia).

Notes:

Feeding Caesalpinia echinata ( Palo de Brasil / Pernambuco) in my garden.
