Uragus sibiricus
Small rosefinch with long tail that's nearly as long as its body. Males are a rich deep pink over most of their body with a silver grey crown and cheeks, white flanks and vent. Black tail and primary wing feathers. Distinct wing pattern in flight. Image here show a male. Females are a plain brown but with a similar wing pattern to the male.
Found throughout southern Siberia and NE China and into northern Japan. It winters more to the south in south Japan and Korea. This bird seen in disused scrub land just outside Vladivostok, Russia.
Note that razor wire isnt one of the listed habitats for this bird! It was seen outside an old military airport on the outskirts of the city. Although a rather dodgy environment it was a great birding area.

Beautiful little finch! Perhaps it's a type of razor berry... :D
Thanks Mark. It was amazing how many species I saw in less than an hour, sat on this wire and seemed quite at home!
If you can imagine the razor wire is a blackberry or such... Gorgeous little bird.
