Helvina Lady Slipper

Pierella helvina

Description:

I saw these butterflies along narrow forest paths, flying low to the ground, deep in the forest where it was quite dark. I disturbed them mostly in the morning or at dusk, as they don't like sun, and mostly hide deep in the undergrowth during the day.

Habitat:

tropical rainforest of the Osa Peninsular

Would appreciate help with an ID for this butterfly. I know it's from the Nymphalidae, Satyranae family.
