Wasp moth

Euchromia folletti

Description:

Euchromia is a genus of moths in the Arctiidae family.

Notes:

One night, this one clung to my denim like a limpet. I had gone a long way before discovering who had tagged along. Yes, it was from the lobby with white fluorescent light I had passed some minutes earlier. There were a variety of insects swirling around. It was rainy season.

Should be E. folletii not folletti (misspelling), please, change the scientific name.

Definitely Euchromia. For myeyes this one looks rather like Folletii than Formosa. What I learned during my search: you can not trust any of the IDs on the web, even in so called trusted sites. At the end you do not know whom to believe. I usually believe my eyes ;-)...
Yellow patches on the wings, not whitish ones. Shorter red stripes besides the head. Check the rings...
Folletii: Yellow, blue, blue/silvery?, red, white, ..., blue
Formosa: Orange, blue, blue, red, blue, blue.
