Spotting

Description:

Approx 4cm (1.5 inches) long. All over brown with some yellow at the top of each leg, near the joint.

Habitat:

Hanging out on the kitchen bench.

Cheers Felix. One of the pics in Wiki reference you sent looks so similar I'd be willing to ID from that. Thank you for your help. I will keep on researching and see what else I might be able to come up with :)

Wow...ok. So I will definitely have to do some more research but at this stage it has the potential to be a Giant Stick Insect nymph...

Definitely Phasmatodea (Stick Insect), a nymph.

This is what Wikipedia says: Phasmatodea (also known as Phasmida or Phasmatoptera) are an order of insects, whose members are variously known as stick insects

Would anyone be able to please tell me if this could be a Walking Stick in the order Phasmida (not entirely sure what that means...)? Any help would be appreciated!
