Tegenaria domestica
This male house funnel web spider found because the distinctive funnelled web that was messily draped on a cage corner of a bird sanctuary. The male presents with long legs that are tapered and spiny. A dark grey body and small grey spots on the abdomen are also indicative of this spider. The spider is harmless and usually collected via the hand to jar method although I am not game for that.
