Description:

This bird has throat in violet color and has a white band that comes down from the chest to the belly. The back and neck are bright green. The tail and part of the wings are dark blue. There is no sexual dimorphism. It measures about 9.5 cm.

Habitat:

It occurs in south-eastern Venezuela; in Bolivia; Peru and central and southern Brazil.
