Dycladia sp.
Yellow and black Tiger Moth which mimics the bad tasting beetles of the Family Lycidae, 1 cm long. The abdomen has a lateral dark stripe. This one is different from another spotted in the central mountains of Chiapas at a higher elevation. (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/437...) It also lacks the white tip to the antennae. Family Erebidae, Arctiinae. See a similar, but much larger species from Central Chiapas (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/617...).
Came to an ultraviolet light, Finca Argovia, Ruta de Café, Soconusco Area of Chiapas, about 2 hours north of Tapachula.
