Anhinga anhinga
This male anhinga was spotted with wings spread drying himself in the sun. Unlike ducks, anhinga's wings become water logged and that helps them to dive and maneuver underwater. But, after diving, they have to dry their wings. They are also called a snakebird because of their snakelike head.
This male anhinga was spotted in a small tree alongside the fresh water springs of Wakulla Springs, Florida.
