Polistes rubiginosus [synonym for Polistes carolinus]
The region where this Wasp Nest is is a transition region between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest
These wasps have made their nest in one of the security cameras in the school I teach... The Director did not like the idea, but eventually chose to leave the nest there and install another camera...
Oh, yeah! Thanks again "auntnance123"! I particularly don't get me along when we talk about "Wasps"...
Glad to be of help. That's what a 'suggestion' is: a starting point. Read here apparently Polistes rubiginosuswas considered a synonym for P. carolinus. http://bugguide.net/node/view/50540
Thanks "felipe1" and "emiliano1"! ;)
And, thanks "auntnance123", for the ID! But... The "Polistes carolinus" is not more... "Orange"? I researched from your ID and found a more similar to the photo, the "Polistes rubiginosus"... Please, if I'm wrong, correct me.
Weel "trungkimsjong", I really want it name too... But, I'm not very good in identifying Wasps... :/
But as soon as I find out, I'll post soon. ;)
Yeah... Not a good place. But, how this security camera its broken ('cause a storm) and, is on a place of the school where the studends don't go, the Director don't saw problem in left it there. Of course, if it Wasp Nest be more "big", it will be removed for security...
