Lamium purpureum
Short green angiosperm that has tiny puple flowers at its tip. Leaves have a sweet smell. Found in a lot of areas, it is a common flower in Virginia with no growth pattern. Seeds spread widely and stay to forested areas. Considered a weed in North America. Grows throughout the year and allows for yearly nectar for bees.
Native to Europe and Asia. Now grows in the Americas.
This plant is unique because it is considered a part of the mint family.
