Thanks bayucca, that does look more like it but I can see what you mean about them being tough to ID when they are quite worn like this. This one is really widespread too, wow. Yeah, this is coming from the Amazon.

I apologize, I do not exactly now who Tom is, but this is not Tom...
These Satyrs are sometimes not easy to ID, specially when they are quite worn like yours. I think it might be Hermeuptychia hermes, which is quite common at lower elevations, where I guess yours is coming from.
