TL 23mm. Purplish gray FW has wide streak of mottled orange scales through basal and median areas that resemble glowing embers. Whitish PM line is double, curving sharply inward near costa. Basal and orbicular spots are white. HOSTS: Poplar and willow. NOTE: Adults hibernate through winter months.
Moth sheet close to mixed woodland and field.
