A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
These two large yellow Paper Wasps had started their nest in the doorway of a Mayan Temple, not too far above our heads. What is neat about this, is that the wasps have several cells in which new adults are pupating and have removed the lid of one cell in which a newly emerged, still teneral adult is visible. Eggs are also visible in the upper cells.
