Thanks for the ID Injica and Bayucca. Sorry its quite hard to see because i took it through the glass of a window with a phone camera. when the moth flies, it looks like a bee. does that help? its quite common.

This is a moth from the family: Erebidae, Arctiinae, Syntomini. I can't see the markings on the body clearly enough to get closer. Only 2 yellow broader stripes? Many thinner yellow stripes on the body? White antennae tips? Could be an Amata sp. or Syntomoides sp.
