Beautiful Eutelia Moth

Eutelia pulcherrimus

Description:

An uncommon moth of Eastern USA and Southern Canada. TL 14-20 mm. Multicolored FW has abstract pattern of red/orange, maroon, white and black. Host: Poison Sumac. Family: Euteliidae.

Habitat:

Near woodlands. Attracted to light. Variety of habitats including urban.

Notes:

This moth hitchhiked in my hair and then proceeded to fly on the sign I have next to my computer. Perfect! And perfect timing. LOL!! Very funny! It doesn't get better than this. HA!
