Nyssodrysina haldemani
A slightly metallic Long-horn Beetle of about 1 cm in length. Probably a female from what looks like an ovipositor on the tail end. Family Cerambycidae.
Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
This beetle has a distribution that includes the United States, Mexico, Central American and the Caribbean.
Thank you so much bayucca and thanks for the links. I found another reference for Mexico: (http://unibio.unam.mx/irekani/handle/123...) from the Pacific Coast State of Colima.
