Cistus monspeliensis
It's a species of rockrose. We find it durring a field trip of our Biology course.
Montado (dehesa) area. It is native to southern Europe and northern Africa, in the Mediterranean forests, woodlands, and scrub ecosystems of matorral —maquis shrublands.
This photo was taken in Herdade da Ribeira Abaixo (Grândola), an homestead that belongs to the Faculty of Sciencies of the University of Lisbon.
