Lumpy Bracket

Trametes gibbosa

Description:

Fairly large, bracket type fungus. Pale, dirty white to gray, some with greenish coloration on top. Slightly velvety appearance. Firm, corky texture, very lightweight. Underside with pores that get elongated near the edge of the fungus. Picture #6 shows a log where one of the fungus had been knocked off.

Habitat:

Petersberg National Battlefield Park, Virginia. Temperate forest. Growing on a dead tree.
