Trashline Orb-weaver

Cyclosa sp.

Description:

This Cyclosa sp. looks exactly like the one I spotted on Jan 19, just a few feet away (and when I checked, it was still there) - https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/18....... The spider in my picture above, however, was building a different style of web decoration from the one in the previous spotting. Perhaps that's why some websites use the common name "Variable Decoy Spider"

Habitat:

Spotted in the rice mill backyard on a clump of Spiny Bamboo (Bambusa blumeana), locally known as Kawan Tinik.
