Large Maple Spanworm Moth

Description:

Large geometrid, tan with dark lines. Angled hind wings. Dark speckling throughout wings. This species is variable in color.

Habitat:

Suburban yard.

Notes:

How is it possible that I haven't seen this moth before now?! It is really beautiful even if it is common.
