Cashew Nut

Anacardium occidentale

Description:

Red appleshaped fruit with a worm shaped attachment at the bottom. This is the cashew nut, before it is taken out of its shell.

Habitat:

Thalang Phuket, Thailand on our road near rubbertrees.

Notes:

On the side of the road near rubbertrees. No reason why it was ever planted there so I think it was wild.
