Winged Stick Insect - Female

Marmessoidea flavoguttata

Description:

This species was described in 1877 under the genus of Marmessoidea. However, in recent years, closer study of this species would have it reclassified to the genus of Rhamphosipyloidea She is around 8cm in size, mostly reddish brown in color with greenish/bluish thorax with bright yellow spots on Prothorax behind the head and top of his wings. Most Stick Insects can look very different in gender, but this one looks very similar to the Males, except for her size, which is bigger than the Males.
