Eastern Kingbird

Tyrannus tyrannus

Description:

The Eastern Kingbird has a black head and upper body. White below and a broad white tail band. I found the nest of interest with little bits of candy wrapper, soft woolly fluff and grass. The nest is in an apple orchard. They like open areas for finding insects.

Habitat:

Dead trees, this nest is on top of an old apple tree.
