Phoracantha recurva
The phoracantha recurva is considered and invasive species and they attack sickly trees or trees that have recently fallen. According to the link mentioned in the link section: "The larvae of both species tunnel between the bark and wood, but construct their pupal chambers in the heartwood. Adult beetles are attracted to fallen branches and injured or water-stressed trees."
Apparently they are native from Australia but are now widely spread. Some have been reported in Southern Brazil.
I found this one near the eucalyptus branches I have in my house.
