Snowberry Clearwing Moth

Hemaris diffinis

Habitat:

Canal/deciduous habitat

Notes:

I've never seen a snowberry clearwing on the canal that I tromp, so I'm quite ecstatic to see one. This one was wandering and happened to land on the grass right in front of me! Not the greatest shots, but I'm just happy I got to see it:)

Yup, they sure are. Wish I could have gotten some better pics to represent it, but it took off. Why are they so uncooperative? :))
