Northern Cardinal (Bathing)

Description:

This cardinal is almost done molting into his adult plumage, he still has patches of gray though. There is also a female House Finch that joined in on bath time. In the last photo a frog jumped out from the tree and they both looked to see what it was.

Habitat:

Bird bath at the bird blind in Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Desert scrub area.
