Polistes wattii
The vespiary is positioned right under the branch which kept them sheltered during the rain. After the heavy downpour they were all over it again!
The leaves do resemble peepal but these are smaller in size. It is the Rose Wood tree or Sheesham.
looks like the vespiary is on a peepal tree.
Thanks MarcoSelis. I am trying to find more info. P. Wattii seems similar too. I've another spotting posted today http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/388.... Pls view this as well. Thanks again!
I'm not sure about P. olivaceus, it could be P. wattii too.
