Theritas is a genus of gossamer-winged butterflies (family Lycaenidae) found in the Neotropics.
This species is found in mildly disturbed areas of tropical and subtropical rainforest at altitudes from about 400-1200m.
I imagine that this is one of the hairstreaks.
great colour, eh Lauren! It really stood out in the forest even though it was so tiny.
