Lesser Kiskadee nest

Pitangus lictor

Description:

It seems like mom was inside, as you can see her in the dark interior of the nest, while dad was monitoring the surroundings, perched nearby. I hope that they know what they are doing since the nest is in what it seems high voltage cables..but I guess by now these birds are used to nest in such places and it can even be nicely warm for the eggs, who knows?

Habitat:

La Fortuna town, near Arenal Volcano.
