Tropical orb weaver spider

Eriophora ravilla

Description:

Found on my Callistemon tree, (bottle brush), it was about an inch and and an half, amazing white spots on it and spikes, it was daytime and I try to wake it up, but it hardly moved. I saw eyes at the end of the right side a web and folded legs, but it would not stretch.

Notes:

Night time Orb weaver

This beautiful spider is looking for an ID!!

Thank you, LisaPowers. I just do not understand why no matter what I did, it did not stretch? It moved but just enough for me to know it was alive!

That is a defensive position meant to help it blend in and NOT look like spider. Very cool spotting!
