Description:

A eucalyptus tree with most leaves covered with clam-shaped lerps-close-up in pic 4.

Habitat:

Tree is probably a Yellow Box ( Eucalyptus melliodora)

Notes:

Never seen lerp-attack on such a scale !

Wow!!! There's lots of lerps this year. Eucalyptolyma maideni, Glycaspis brimblecombei, Eriococcus coriaceus. I can see one with a hole in the lerp which I think means it was attacked by a wasp, but I can see it in there through its shell. Prepare for a bonanza spring, Leuba.
