micro moth

Description:

A tiny green moth (est. 10-15 mm length) with a rough appearance, perhaps to make it look like a leaf scar. Fortunately for me it landed on a contrasting leaf.

Habitat:

Observed on variegated croton (Codiaeum variegatum) along the boundary fence separating a large semi-urban yard & garden from a disturbed remnant patch of forest in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
