Crowned Eagle

Urubitinga coronata

Habitat:

I found this specimen in a open field, in a region with predominance of Cerrado with some fragments of Atlantic Forest.

Notes:

I read that this specie is on risk of extinction (for IUCN, it classified how "EN", or, "Critical"/"On Risk")... That made me feel happy like "WoW! I could see one!" and very sad "Well... I will see another one?". I mean... I live in a region of transition between Cerrado and Atlantic Forest. The Biodiversity here is too large, but, also, it's too threatened. And make me sad thinking that very species can disappear in some years... If just a little group of people care, isn't enough. I mean... It's very good have people who care... But, would be so much better if more people do more things about conservation... "One man can change the World..." But with help, it's so much better...
