Ourapteryx claretta
moth resting during the day, about 2", looks a bit like the upside down moth
montane rainforest, 1200m
Spotted in Gunung Halimun national park.
Geometridae, Ennominae, Ourapterygini, Ourapteryx sp. and most probably Ourapteryx claretta. Far away from being an Uraniidae!! Dan, this lovely moth fooled us completely!

Thanks bayucca. I noticed the red in the tails too and that was throwing me off. I like that I've spotted a mystery for you.
I am also not sure if this really is Urapteroides astheniata, which would not have red lines. The markings are slightly different. But I still would think it is an Uraniidae, Uraniinae or if not a very nasty mimic (for ID)?? Might it be one of the others mentioned by MOB? Or another genus? Look at the different tail of yours beside the red color.
