Lulo

Solanum quitoense

Description:

fuzzy fruit, large leaves with purple hairs and thorns, pretty sure of the species

Habitat:

cloudforest, 2000m

Notes:

I spotted this in Reserva Ecologica Rio Blanco. I drank a lot of lulo in fruit juices in Colombia. It is delicious and became one of my favorite drinks. I was surprised to see it in the wild but this may be a species that looks very similar, I'm not 100% sure.
