Bananaquit

Coereba flaveola

Description:

Small yellow breasted bird with two white and yellow stripes on the top of its head. Its beak has a little red patch at its beginning.

Habitat:

In the garden of our holiday cottage, Upper Hells Gate, Saba, Dutch Antilles on the banana flower.

Notes:

This little Bananaquit was hanging around the hummingbird feeder until he figured it out! So everyday he would come back and even chase the hummingbird away! Cheeky.
